Camens come through with their first single of the year, just their sixth offering. Last year say the band release three new singles which all received strong praise across radio, now the band look set to capitalise on this success with a new band of pure indie tunes. Influenced by the bands such as The Vaccines and Weezer, it’s clear to see that these boys bring forward melodic intent and dance along indie guitars in equal measures.
The new single ‘Time Is Precious’ presents huge anthemic choruses, they type that you find yourself singing along to even on the first listen. The tempo is quick, the feeling is joyous and the whole track just has an air of the good times about it. It’s carefree melodies hit the spot, whilst noodling, clean guitars put a particularly British spin on proceedings. Comparisons could be made to similar emerging bands like Bridges, but Camens really do bring their own flavour to the table on this one.
