Californian trio The Astronots recently released their new single ‘Settle Down’, the lead single from the group’s upcoming EP. Taking inspiration from many acts such as Led Zeppelin, Alabama Shakes and Kings of Leon, the new EP is a coming together of gritty guitars, explosive percussion and raw energy.

‘Settle Down’ is a moody release, opening with dark minor chords and a brooding dissonance, the chorus kicks in with a bit of punch alluding to the punkier side of the influences you can hear on the record. Later in the track The Astronots make use of a Rhodes organ giving a tasteful nod to the 70s, and with a vocal reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac the band make full use of the music that has formed them and allowed it to seep int every corner of their work.
