Our Track Of The Day today is a piece of classic indie pop mastery from Crawley based three piece Talu. Having already picked up support from the likes of The Line Of Best Fit and BBC Introducing, Talu storm into 2019 with a breezy indie anthem akin to the sounds of Bombay Bicycle Club and Foals. From the very first listen you’ll be sure to find these influences run deep within the young band.
‘All Night, Alright’ glistens with infectious, charming vocals, that float around with a distinct elegance and character. Gorgeously supported by hazy synths and funky guitar lines, the band come together to make a track that sets them apart from their peers, it’s bouncy and fun whilst tapping into a darker subject matter.
The band explain; “‘All Night, Alright’ is essentially about a couple who are both struggling with their mental health. They’re in a situation where depression has become the new norm, and they’ve both been bottling it up for a very long time. It’s a serious subject matter but it carries a positive message: it may take a long-time to get through the tough times, but they’re committed to working through it and not giving up“
