Fresh from leaving their uni bedsit behind, Leeds based four piece Peace Frog offer up a slice of something a little upbeat with their new single ‘Four Year Holiday’. The band already have early supporters in Steve LaMacq and we see no reason why they shouldn’t be picking up more and more attention if every release is as wonderfully crafted as this.
The guitars open into a summery jam, quickly propped up with tropical beats enticing you into a feeling of being somewhere much nicer than England. Almost coming across as a parody of your typical Hawaiian beach tune, Peace Frog find a way to turn this into a release with far more credibility and in turn have produced a fine, fine indie bop. Stick this on your summer playlist and banish your blues.
