Starting as a mere bedroom project in London in 2016 Heavy Heart have surely come a long way in the years that have followed. Their latest single and our Track Of The Day, ‘Bed Bug’ is another shining example of a band hitting all the right notes. ‘Bed Bug’ arrives as the first of three new tracks mixed and co-produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Gabe Wax (The War On Drugs, Soccer Mommy), and is described as being “about the beauty and agony of loving someone to the point of self-destruction; picking the wounds open again and again just to feel the way it felt the first time.”
This new single is a spaced-out and melodic offering from the South London quartet, ‘Bed Bug’ never overstates itself, keeping to a dreamy landscape with the slightest hints of grunge influence. The humble, slow jam is brought together with atmospheric choruses and gorgeous guitars that lay a beautiful foundation for a silky vocal performance.
