Rising Melbourne based indie-rock band Mantell return as a quintet on their latest single ‘Can I Set It Right’. Putting a modern spin on the sound of classic seventies rock, the band are showcasing their natural musical ability on this new track writing, recording and producing ‘Can I Set It Right’ in their home studio setup. Formed in 2013, Mantell are making bigger moves in 2019 and it should be a big year for the band.
There are just pure indie sounds pouring out of ‘Can I Set It Right’, jaunty guitars strum away with sublime lead lines encapsulating a classic and timeless sound, somewhere between the New York guitar bands of the 00s and the British scene that was led by the likes of Bloc Party and Bombay Bicycle Club. The vocals are rich and melodic, and top off the new single in superb style, simply solidifying the notion of a band who know exactly what they want to achieve with each passing release.
