It’s been a little while since we have heard from bedroom popstar Jakob Ogawa, but the young Norwegian finally delivers with new single ‘All I Wanna Do’. The new release comes ahead of a brand new EP pencilled in for this summer as well as tour dates in Asia and USA. Jakob has been crafted a name for himself with a brand of wonky synth pop and the latest single is no exception.
‘All I Wanna Do’ is packed with woozy synths and off kilter sounds underlined with a hint of hip hop influence. A nice nod to 90s sounds but the way the track has been put together pulls it into the contemporary sounds of 2019 effortlessly and is really just a groovy jam. It’s simple stuff but it doesn’t need to be complicated, as Jakob as clearly found his signature sound and is crafting it masterfully.
