Off the back of their second consecutive SXSW appearance, Hembree release the third single and title track from their debut album. Having been named as one of NPR’s artists to watch this year that band have also picked up support from Billboard and The Line Of Best Fit amongst others. The Kansas based four piece have also been making waves on the live circuit which culminated in their first UK tour last year and look to carry on the good work whilst plugging their debut release.
‘Heart’ is a dreamy, parred back release with pop overtones and subtle synth work. Gorgeous harmonies add to the dreaminess of this new track, but there is a rumbling of the indie rock underneath this glossy finish. Creating sounds that sit somewhere between Vampire Weekend and The Vaccines with a poppy sheen, Hembree are clearly adept at writing catchy, upbeat tunes that appeal beyond the borders of the rock audience.
