Despite this track being released last year we thought you guys might like a listen. It’s ‘Cyber’ from Stockton CA pop duo Baseball Gregg, a jangling dose of pure fun. Founders Luca Lovisetto and Samuel Regan met in 2013 in Bologna, the former a native of the city and the latter a student studying abroad. Having released a number of bodies of work it was time for the duo to drop ‘Gifts’, a surprise holiday EP that celebrates a six-years long collaboration.
‘Cyber’ is everything you would expect from a lo-fi indie set up – lanky, spangly guitars take centre stage with a wonderfully lazy vocal drifting over the top. Drifting is really the word to describe this song, it has a certain sense of constant gentle movement throughout, and in many ways could change direction as and when it pleases. Thankfully it stays true to itself and maintains it’s dreamy atmosphere making a soft and beautifully crafted indie lullaby.
