New Music – KOYO ‘Ostracised’

KOYO formed in Leeds in 2015 and have since been slowly but surely making themselves known on the radars of many rock and indie fans across the country having played at such festivals as Reading and Leeds and Download as well ashaving their debut album (2017) plugged by a host of top music critics.

‘Ostracised’ has a depth in the vocal melody that, place against some of the heavier moments of the track, becomes reminiscent of a Demob Happy release. In other places the track shows its influence from 00s alt rock and the sound develops into something along the psych-rock lines. A cool, cool track from a band that have been plugging the scene for a little while and undoubtedly deserve to be receiving more and more plaudits.
