Recently hitting the number one spot on Hype Machine, Los Angeles based indie pop artist Highschool Jacob comes through with another delectable slice of electro infused magic. There’s obviously a lot of attention building around the young artist and his new single ‘Sunrise, I Fall’ demonstrates exactly why, although moving away from some of the more dance infused sounds on previous releases Highschool Jacob still hits the spot.
The latest track is a mellow and groovy affair that flows with soft and subtle hip hop inspired beats under a blanket of warm synths that drift around with ease. An almost spoken vocal adds a certain mystery to the proceedings, but when accompanied by a harmony or two instantly spring into live bringing an undoubtably indie vibe to the track.
