Newcastle’s Callum Pitt is an interesting talent, his first ever recorded material was made in his bedroom by himself and it quickly picked up praise from BBC 6 Music and Amazing Radio putting his name firmly on the map. Now he comes through with slightly more polished releases and his most recently single emerges in the form of ‘Forgotten Kids’. Combining indie rock and folk influences Callum’s music has transcended genres leading him to column space from the likes of DIY and Dork Magazine.

‘Forgotten Kids’ blasts into life full of energy and vibrancy. Immediately Pitt’s vocal, infused with all the folk influences, takes a hold of the track and sits across a beautiful indie soundscape. With every choruses there feels like there is a little more va va voom, a little more passion and whilst synths bring in a powerful addition, the whole track is underlined with gritty indie rock styled guitars. There are many layers to Callum Pitt’s work, see if you can find them all.
