L.A. based Big Language formed back in 2015, and through extensive live shows in their local area as well as the release of their debut EP, the trio are steadily making waves beyond their native region. New single ‘Violent Danita’ comes as the latest offering from their upcoming sophomore EP, as is centre about themes of losing control.

Exploding with Iggy Pop-esque group vocals and vicious guitars, ‘Violent Danita’ lives up to its name in the opening ten seconds before taking a mellower, more technical turn. At points the guitar does take over a little bit and it feels as if the song could lose its way, only for the hooky bridge to kick in a straighten things out. The song moves on and bursts into huge choruses and melodic verses that are underlined with pounding drums and solid basslines that allow the guitars and vocals to stand out with interesting dynamics.
