Track Of The Day – Fever Days ‘I See Through It’

Here is some more sweet rock coming out of Newcastle, a city which is quickly developing some fine bands and whose scene is quickly becoming a dominant force in alternative circles. Fever Days are the latest four piece to come out of the North East with their latest single ‘I See Through It’. Having supported the likes of Spring King and Our Girl, then band are taking the traditional route of paying their dues and grafting on the local circuits, but it seems like now could be the moment for them to emerge in their own right as a serious one to watch.

‘I See Through It’ is a funky little number, opening with 90s Casio keyboards and quickly evolves into a groove-filled indie pop track. The energy is infectious and is full of choruses that beg you to sing a long with a playful little melody. While it is rock music at its core, the track is awash with pop sensibilities and inflections of the Brit Pop era, from is honest lyricism to its rhythmic bop. Keep an eye on these guys, they have plenty more to give.
