More heavy grooves for Tuesday (we might make this a thing), Newcastle’s SLEEPTAPE have come through with a punching new single in ‘Run’. The new release features massive grooving riffs and powerful, almost guttural vocals and incorporates some influence from the nu-metal things in the early 00s without the track feeling like a complete throwback.
Describing themselves as ‘colossal alt-rock from the North East’, SLEEPTAPE live up to their own summation, ‘Run’ has choruses of epic proportions and heavy guitar work that tears through the heart of the song. Dark lyrics and deeply personal themes run throughout this ripper, it’s a proper alt-rock track that you can imagine being a cornerstone of their live performances.
