Something a little heavier for Tuesday coming from Seattle rock outfit Afterwords. Their latest release ‘The Deep End’ comes as the first track from the bands upcoming EP of the same title. Recorded by Grammy award winning producer Casey Bates (Pierce The Veil, MxPx), ‘The Deep End’ is a heavy, rhythmic offering packed with clever and introspective lyricism.

There is a clear mix of influence in the track, drawing in the melodic elements of 00s alt-rock like Foo Fighters but also bringing the crunchier edge of bands like Biffy Clyro to the table. ‘The Deep End’ comes across as a inverted look into the struggles of mental health but approached in a manner that isn’t immediately apparent. Watch out for more of the same from the Seattle four-piece.
