Dublin’s Silverbacks have been picking up all sorts of praise recently with huge plaudits coming from BBC Radio 1 as well as all the top online press covering these guys one a band to watch. Their new single ‘Muted Gold’ demonstrates exactly why.
‘Muted Gold’ flows with gentle synths and smooth basslines over the top of superb rolling drum beats, a foundation that really sets the tone for the track. It has a deep and mellow feeling to it instrumentally, and this allows overdriven guitar lines and the vocal melodies to really stand out. As the track develops it takes on a indier sound, with hints of Bombay Bicycle Club whilst retaining all of its own unique charm.
