Vancouver’s Wrecked Beach delivered their new single ‘Fried’ earlier this month, signalling the release of their latest album ‘Eyetide’. Described as blurring the lines between “progressive Garage rock and washed out psychedelic pop”, the band come through with a groovy taste of nostalgia.
‘Fried’ offers those big, sparse guitar strums that leave the perfect space for a vintage vocal performance to slot into effortlessly, and small licks here and there just add a little spice to the occasion. There is a hint of The Who about this track but it soon develops into a track with more energy and more purpose and really delivers a solid retrospective sound.
