KIPSY are an alternative band hailing from Boston, MA who say their songs are focused around “the supernatural, the occult and all things weird”. Having only formed in 2017 the band have put out a number of releases and are continuing to define themselves as a serious emerging rock band.
Latest single ‘Actor’ is full of emo and pop punk influence but is taken down a darker more alternative route with dark, gritty guitars. The vocals soar through big anthemic choruses and the verse swoop with melodies akin to the likes of Manchester Orchestra or Frightened Rabbit. There’s a precise yet powerful energy within ‘Actor’ that draws in the raw groove that you might find in some a little heavier whilst retaining a level of something a little more universally appealing.
