This is a gnarly new release from Danish band I Am Bones. ‘Syphon’ comes from the band’s upcoming EP ‘Lobster Vibes’ and is a clear signal of intent from a band that dropped off the radar over ten tears ago.
‘Syphon’ is a punch in the face, a raw, anger fuelled trudge and a track that holds a true, authentic grunge sound. Its riffs pull up the sounds of Melvins in their slow, somewhat melodic, chug and the wavering vocal heightens this even further. As new releases in this genre go, ‘Syphon’ is a reminder of some brilliant sounds of the past as well as giving us hope for the future.
