‘Self Adhesive’ is the debut release from Brighton based artist Joe Peter. Speaking on the track Joe said “I dunno why but I wanted to kick things off with something that was a bit more guitar based than my other tracks. Lyrically, it was written as a kick up the arse to myself, but also as a reminder to pick yourself up, dust yourself down and start again.”
The new release is full of pop tone but underlined with some really neat guitar work and a clear, charismatic vocal. Lyrically there is a depth that is added to the track but it also has those surface level metaphors that work so perfectly in this indie pop rock genre, and that help to embed the infectiously catchy and upbeat melodies in your mind for days.
