doubleVee are a duo made up of husband and wife partnership Allan and Barb Vest. Built on an understanding that the pair had an unrivalled chemistry in the recording studio, doubleVee brought together their long, varied careers in music to create their brand of pop infused indie. In past musical life’s the duo have written music for huge TV production and toured with some massive artists over the years – Now ‘Map The Channels’ is the latest single from the band’s recently released ‘Songs For Birds and Bats’ EP, coming complete with a wacky animated video.
The single is flooded with 90s indie rock sounds with elements of Brit Pop bubbling under the surface. There is also an inherently american feeling that comes from the track and likens doubleVee to the sounds of the early 00s. Awash with glorious synths and gorgeous vocals, ‘Map The Channels’ has a dreamy, yet energetic feel. The pairs vocals play off one another effortlessly really driving home the musical chemistry the pair possess.
