Pop-punk done right, Sketch perfectly blends the raw aggression and hard edges of punk with something a bit more melodic. It’s choruses take off in the direction of a thrash metal ballad but maintain a dry wit.

Over it’s relatively short playtime ‘King Kaiten’ evolves from the mist into this fuzzy/hazy masterpiece, distorted and delicious. It’s intricate layers peeling back just enough to let you a glimpse at the one below.

‘Pre-Pangea’ comes galloping in on frenetic guitar strums that evoke the hooves of the horsemen of the apocalypse. It’s pure raw raucousness oozing from the melted flesh caused by the very first chord and this bubbling primordial energy continues throughout its entirety.

It’s synthy, it’s sexy, it’s supercharged with neon glow. New track ‘Neon Prayer’ by Supertaste is a gourmet serving, at just under 3 minutes it might still leave you hungry, but the presentation and stingy portion size is sure to get it rave reviews on the 5* eating circuit.

The new Shedonist track begins with a sexy sultry somber as it sidles in slowly. Once it’s close enough to feel the static electricity between lips in anticipation of a kiss it drives a knife up in-between the ribs.

From the first strum ‘Totally Evil Powers’ swaggers in with a sound instantly familiar and frenetically paced. Pardoner are a band that know their place in the evolution of that quintessential old school punk sound. It’s got a poet’s political heart but isn’t afraid to scrap with a powerful clenched fist punch.
