New Track Of The Day for you, a real banger from Hartlepool’s Leopard Rays. You don’t get too much music coming out of Hartlepool but emerging four piece Leopard Rays are breaking the mould in that respect. Their massive sound comes influence by the likes of Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam but the band truly put their own British twist into the mix. With last year spent writing and recording the band move into the early part of 2019 ready to go with their explosive brand of indie rock.

New single ‘ I’m Japan’ burst into life with a sullen, dark energy. Brooding guitars set the mood for melancholic vocals to work over, the drums keep things tight but bring the noise when it’s necessary. The dynamic nature of the track makes it stand out here, the verses are subdued and have a feeling of angst about them, whilst the choruses explode with energy. Having packed out shows on the live circuit on the North of the country you can see why people might turn up in droves to get involved with these guys.
