Forming in early 2015 as high school friends seeking to fill a void in the guitar-driven music scene in their hometown, Good Fiction soon found their live shows thriving leading to the release of their debut EP ‘Call Me’. There are hints more live shows and more material to come this year but for now we’ll have to make do with their wicked new single ‘Right Stuff BBY’.
Fuzzy guitars sulk underneath a rather unique falsetto vocal, whilst these guitars give a somewhat punky undercurrent, pulsing basslines lines and dashes of synths bring the track into a much indier domain. The infectiously catchy chorus simply solidifies this sound and breaks the song into major sing-a-long territory. The dynamism of vocals, combined with the band’s ear for gorgeous hooks puts them on course for an absolute winner in ‘Right Stuff BBY’.
