Here we go, starting the week of right with this beauty from Get A Life. New single ‘Get A Job’ is the latest taste of Get A Life’s full length album, ‘Our Band Could Be Your Life or Debt’ scheduled for a Feb 8th release. Co-produced and mixed by Yuuki Mathews of the Shins, ‘Get A Job’ gives off a little something for everyone.
The track is a fun and bouncy affair with an enticing vocal and super catchy choruses. There is a feeling of Feeder in the mix with this one, but it also comes through with hints of Blur all given a big American make-over. Everything about Get A Life stinks of good times – the aesthetic has a deliberately messy, artsy feel to it which gives a curiously mysterious edge to an artist creating some really accessible songs.
