More of that dreamy bedroom pop, this is the debut release from Trunky Juno called ‘Small Town’. Previously making up part of Durham’s The Yada Yada Yadas, Trunky Juno steps out on his own with his electro-pop infused indie solo project through Silent Kid Records.
‘Small Town’ has that lo-fi attraction that, no matter how many times you hear it, always maintains a certain charm. The self-proclaimed lo-fi pop noodler stays true to this assessment with his debut. There’s a subtle 90s tone that runs through the veins of this track and the vocal typifies this with perfection, hidden under decadent reverbs Trunky Juno’s voice soars through the choruses with melodies that really stick with you.
