The new single from Vancouver’s The Tourist Company is the latest slice of their new concept album ‘St. Helens’. The duo have had a rapid rise with tours in Mexico and playing with a range of big names along the way. The Tourist Company are almost certainly on their way to glory.
‘Waiting On Bad News’ opens with gorgeous clean and crisp guitar lines and is soon accompanied by a sublimely smooth vocal. The song is underline with clear indie rock influence but that style is twisted into something cleaner and more melodic with the use of subtle synths and understated drums. The choruses don’t go off with a bang but with vocal lines that hit you deep in the core it really doesn’t need to. This new single really hits the spot as a mellow, clean offering from a duo that are blending sounds effortlessly into their own.
