Canadian five-piece Sun K have given us a right little beauty with their new single ‘High In The City’. The release was part of the band’s second album ‘Bleeding Hearts’ and has already been picking up heat from the likes of Spotify – Always a good sign to have the big boys behind you.
The new track ‘High In The City’ has all the fun vibes of Ok Go, thanks to a subtle hint of the old electro-organ, but it also has deeper melodic intent which makes the song a really catchy bop. It’s rock ‘n’ roll at its core however it brings through more modern, poppier sounding elements and rather than become a radio-friendly piece of trash, ‘High In The City’ has a defined, purposeful edge to it.
