Coming out of Seattle, Oceanwires released a new track last week called ‘Fuel + Reasons’. The first bite from the upcoming album, it comes fully formed and widely inspired from the many influences each member of the band has – described quite beautifully as ‘Many authors. One book.’
Now this is proper rock track. ‘Fuel + Reasons’ has all the elements one would want from song, simple, catchy riffs, vocals that are full of intent, big anthemic choruses… the lsit goes on. Being produced and recorded by Steve Fisk (Car Seat Headrest, Nirvana) and Matt Bayles (Minus the Bear, Mastodon) it’s easy to see why this single is such a complete piece of work and with an album on the way there will be plenty more of the same to tuck into.
