New music coming out of Sweden is on our radar today – Northlight are a Swedish alt-rock four-piece and their new track ‘Midas’ comes as part of the band’s latest EP ‘Finding A Sun Among A Billion Stars’.
‘Midas’ is certainly builder, starting with a soft, melodic rock feel which grows throughout it’s four minutes and twenty second lifespan into choruses of anthemic proportions. A clear and dynamic vocal is supported by a solid rhythm section that really keeps the track moving and grooving. In short – A crisp alt-rock gem.
Speaking on the track the band stated “Our song ‘Midas’ is not directly about the legendary king, but about a man who similarly without any actual bad intentions, by one giant mistake destroys the thing he loves the most.”
