More new Aussie music coming at you, this time from young indie pop duo Ministry Of Mars. Their debut single was impressively added to over 500 Spotify playlists and now the brothers come through with their follow up ‘Recognise’. Having only formed last year having both had success with personal projects, Ministry Of Mars are quickly shaping up to have a massive year and the immediate hype that surrounds them will surely be turning more and more heads as 2019 develops.
‘Recognise’ is instantly reminiscent of bands like The 1975, but also holds a retro throwback feeling to the likes of maybe The Cure. The track is a playful upbeat little bop and it’s charming energy justifies all the early praise the duo have received. The melodies are infectious, and stick with you in an instant, but they also have a familiarity about them that is incredibly appealing.
