Michigan’s minihorse release their latest slice of fuzzed-out indie rock in the form of new single ‘Drink You Dry’ – the first taste of their first full length body of work ‘Living Room Art’. Having come from a musical family it wasn’t until 2015 that frontman Ben Collins formed minihorse, however they quickly went on to release their debut EP in 2016 cementing their place on the local circuit.

‘Drink You Dry’ is wonderfully melodic, whilst also pulling through an exceptionally grungy edge through its massive, gritty guitars. It feels somewhat like a mixture of Weezer and Manchester Orchestra, part woozy, indie rock part clean cut, powerful alternative rock – A supremely interesting blend. There is a mellow feeling about the track amongst the loud guitars, as if it is pointing towards a deeper, darker motive in the lyrical content, but this space allows the subtleties of the songwriting to shine through.
