It’s been a minute since we’ve had a debut release catch our attention but that is exactly what Swedish band Juno Arcade have done with their new single ‘The Norm’. The release comes ahead of their debut album pencilled in for this summer.
‘The Norm’ is built around a pulsing, high tempo energy that is typified by bouncing, high pitch keys that jump to the beat with a certain playfulness. The vocals ooze in melodic prowess and give the choruses life whilst the guitars sit in the background delivering a wholehearted rock performance. You can hear a sort of airiness in ‘The Norm’ which is a welcomed difference from this band who are offering indie rock in a slightly new light.
