Brisbane based five piece Fresco Kyoto gear up for the release of their debut EP with the release of new single ‘Imposter’. Having just signed to boutique label and publisher Double Drummer Music as well as releasing a string of new material over the last twelve months the Aussie lads are looking set to put their stamp on 2019 with a brand of infectious up tempo indie rock.
With a feeling that is split between indie and the more alternative, Fresco Kyoto breathe a controlled energy into ‘Imposter’. Opening with an early Foals-esque guitar riff and overlaid with brooding vocal, the song finds itself building into the heavier sounds of the chorus. Always melodic, the thoughtfully constructed ‘Imposter’ bridges a gap between two or three genres whilst showing influence from many more.
