Easter Island Statues having been plying their trade across Oxford for a little while now. Coming through with the first offering from their second EP, ‘Teddy’ lays out the bands energetic sound for all to see… and hear. Described as ‘An ode to former US President Teddy Roosevelt’, this latest single draws on all the indie rock sounds of the 00s.

With a raw yet infectious vocal, ‘Teddy’ has a familiar feeling to it and its high energy drums and guitars give it a bright and fun edge. The track pulses and bangs and allows the choruses to take on a more melodic edge that when coupled together pulls through some classic tones from indie rock stalwarts. ‘Teddy’ certainly shows a progression in Easter Island Statues’ output and makes them feel like a band you should really get out and see.
