Since their debut in 2017, Stockholm based Delsbo Beach Club have been establishing themselves as a band to seriously keep an eye on. Having been the second most blogged artist on Hype Machine and a range of homegrown and international press getting on board, it really goes without saying that their latest single ‘Something (I Should Never Forget)’ is a banger. Coming out through Swedish label Rama Lama Records, Delsbo Beach Club are quickly forging themselves as top candidates for any end of year lists.
The latest offering from the group has a low key Gorillaz feel about it, for just a moment at least. It quickly develops into something a little more psychy, a little more out there, whilst retaining a strong indie rock feeling. The vibe is mellow and hazy and is awash with that slacker rock sound with the choruses presenting themselves with a catchy little hook that doesn’t need to be a full throttle to grab your attention. This is a carefully crafted track full of influences from decades past as well as modern cult artists. Just simply wonderful stuff.
