Calland are a duo, one half from Florida the other half from Calgary, the pair met whilst studying in Australia. Having now returned tot their respective hometowns the duo still keep up their long distance working relationship and come through with their latest single ‘Tear Me Apart’. The band also have an EP waiting in the wings, ready to be released at some point this year.
‘Tear Me Apart’ is flooded with alt influences, whilst touching base with some lighter, more melodic elements of rock. The guitars pull in crisp riffs that form gorgeous bridges and a solid foundation for the vocal to stand upon and take centre stage. The track’s honest lyricism hints at the mundane moments in life but given a new energy by a superbly crafted production.
