‘Blowout / Future Games’ is the fourth single off of the second album’ Earth to Astronaut’ by Detroit’s Alluvial Fans. The band are quickly gathering fans and their style of ‘Detroit garage rock’ holds unique charm.
‘Blowout/Future Games’ is brash and loud but the clean guitars slightly smooths out what might otherwise end up sounding rather messy. The track holds beautiful twitchiness, and its fast, frenetic nature make it utter captivating. But its not all balls-out, punk influenced noise, there is a dynamic to this track and from section to section you are surprised by a new direction and feeling.
