The latest single represents the return after seven long years away from music for the Swedish artist. Recorded in Stockholm with producer Mattias Glavå, the latest offering ‘Foot Of Afrikka’ channels a level of 70s influenced pop with a clean and relaxed modern feel.
There is a little hint of Toto’s ‘Africa’ in the vocal melody on this one maybe this was unintentional, maybe not, but it gives a nice familiarity to the track that everyone can get involved with. Drifting vocals compliment lush and steady guitars creating a calm sense of intimacy in the song, nothing is overcomplicated and it proves to be a strong decision as ‘Foot Of Afrikka’ develops into a real easy-listener.
