Nashville based grunge outfit Rusty Shipp return with their new single ‘Breaking Waves’. Having spent most of 2017 collecting praise across radio and press for their debut album, the four piece now put to work their new material – a loud, raw display of their grunge rock roots.
‘Breaking Waves’ continues a nautical theme that runs throughout the band’s material, and on a musical level shows off a long a varied set of influences. AT the heart of the track is a grungy energy that would not feel out of place from any early 90s American bands- However the choruses pull through a more melodic edge and brings the track into the present with bouncing, heavy guitars that put these guys in line with a Demob Happy style. Big stuff here and it feels like there is more to come.
