Robert Laser is the stage name of New York based singer/songwriter Lucas Del Calvo and after several unreleased EP and demos the artist emerges with a taste of his debut album in the form of ‘Soright’. Despite having a degree in jazz performance Robert LAser comes through with a gorgeous and mellow style of indie synth pop.
‘Soright’ is a woozy, lo-fi and yet thoroughly accomplished little number. The vocal has a distance wail to it creating a depth in the track. The wonky synths add another layer of intrigue while 80s drum pads give a vintage taste. With a sound akin to the likes of Gus Dapperton, Robert Laser’s first offering from the upcoming album is a beautifully sleek one.
