Picsel are the side project from UK based Broken Fires, born out of extra material that came whilst Broken Fires were recording their second album. As the title states this one is a bit of a commentary on the state of worldwide politics and its knock on effects the the incredible divide in our societies.
From the outside you might think that this is going to be a raw, aggressive punk track that leaves no room for breathe, but actually it is a much more civilised affair. It still holds a strong energy but one that sits somewhere between alt rock and pop punk, and leaves room enough for its potent lyrical content to shine through. A class act of songwriting all round on this one – Top marks.
