With support from BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and a sizeable amount of streams on Spotify, Manchester based Pacific have been consciously bringing piano led tunes back into the indie rock sphere. Having sold out their first to shows of 2019 already and had their music on the pages of some of the UK’s biggest music magazine, the quartet are looking to emulate previous success with their latest track ‘Clarity’.

You may be mistaken into thinking that this is some sort of cover of The Weather Girls’ ‘It’s Raining Men’, however fear not, It just has a similar thumping beat and sharp piano lines. Actually ‘Clarity’ develops away from this in quick fashion bringing deeper pop and indie influences into the mix and building more towards the sounds of Keane. Although the track is definitely closer to the pop side of the spectrum there are the odd elements of rock thrown in, creating a nice hybrid of easily consumable yet totally fun and catchy music – even if I do have The Weather Girls stuck in my head now.
