New York based three-piece Meyru come up with their debut single ‘Running Day Dreams’. Now there’s not much to know about these guys beyond the fact that they are pretty new to the scene having only played a handful of shows in 2018. ‘Running Day Dreams’ is the signal for a full length LP that is currently in the works.
The track offers a driving rhythm section, a dreamy vocal and almost anthem-sized lead guitars. The band have built a reputation for an energetic live show, and this energy carries into ‘Running Day Dreams’ – The choruses invite you to let go through dynamic guitars and sing-a-long vocal hooks.
Speaking on the track the band explain “‘Running Day Dreams’ is a post 2am Saturday night song when you’re cabbing home alone texting the person you wish you were with in a haze from the night and all you want is to not think about them. The only thing to help not think about them is turning the radio up and letting the music block out the noise in your mind.”
