LA based Loser Company describe themselves as having ‘Nouveau-Grunge, Alternative spirit’, which is certainly true. But there is far more to the American band than first meets the eye and with ‘Blueberry Skies’ they bring through a much wider range of influence to their work.
The new single is a woozy, dreamy and nostalgic number that allows you to drift away with its gentle guitar lines. It has a hint of Brit pop about it, with Oasis-esque melodies really being a stand out element of the track. The lead guitars certainly go under the radar on this one but equally add so much feeling to the track, and these little glimmers shine a little bit of light over the slower, darker sounds beneath.
