Coming Up Roses are a band that only released their first demos midway through last year. The four piece bring influences from the likes of Sonic Youth and Wolf Alice into their clean alt rock sound and emerge with their latest single ‘Lies’. Having established themselves as one of the most exciting rock acts to be coming out of Singapore, Coming Up Roses look to release their debut EP this year.
‘Lies’ is packed full of massive guitar lines that really take centre stage. With mellow, verses that feel akin to the early sounds of Paramore, the track soon explode with life in massive proportions. The track bounces with a heavy energy that has anthemic, stadium sized qualities about it whilst underlining this with a carefully crafted arrangement.
