Here is the second release from Brighton based indie/emo band I Feel Fine, their first being a full EP. Formed in 2015 the band have been touring and working the live circuits with some dedication and with a new tour in the works the South Coast band are looking to capitalise on their hard work in the second half of 2019. Mixing the sounds of 90s and early 00s emo and indie rock, I Feel Fine are bringing back through sounds of a genre that isn’t as widely heard these days… how refreshing.
‘You Know Where I’m Hiding’ is the title of the new single, and it’s got a lot going for it. There is a swell mix of gritty, group vocals and a more melodic singing style and musically there are elements of math rock and alternative rock all in the mixer. The intricate guitar lines boast a familiarity to artists like Glassjaw, whilst the band state that they take huge influence from the likes of Crash of Rhinos, Sport and The Hotelier. There is a nice throwback sound here without the track feeling dated and I Feel Fine are sticking to their guns and sticking to them very well.
