New Music – Normcore ‘Back Row Kids’

French four piece Normcore emerge with another delicate, wavy single ‘Back Row Kids’. From a band influenced by the likes of slacker rock, Weezer and Dinosaur Jr. it is pretty easy to get on board with the sound these guys are making. The new single is the second release from their upcoming EP ‘Sixpack’ and puts the band out there as a talent that have clearly locked on to their sound and image which on first inspection oozes with cool.

‘Back Row Kids’ is a woozy, chilled out number with chorus drenched guitars setting the scene. The vocal is calm, mellow and full of charm and really cements the bands sound into that slacker genre that they are so heavily influenced by. The accompanying video also goes a long way to giving you an insight into the personality that Normcore exude with nothing being taken too seriously. There is a vibrant energy about this band that needs to be noticed.
