Third Smoke are an Irish alt-rock band emerging with with their latest single ‘We Run In Bare Feet’, the much anticipated follow up to ‘Maya’. The five piece have been picking up praise from the likes of RTE Radio 1 and Hot Press and take influence from the likes of Arcade Fire, Talking Heads and Foal. The band’s energetic live performance has seen them perform at major festivals including Longitude and Electric Picnic. With an upcoming tour and and seemingly endless supplies of new music this year should unfold quite nicely for Third Smoke.
‘We Run In Bare Feet’ is a pounding, driving track that, right from the off, pulses with a strong energy. With a vocal that sits somewhere between The Vaccines and Morrissey, there is not only a modern indie edge but that ever popular sound of the 80s the blend together in a superb fashion. The melodies are deep and bold and bring an infectious quality to the music, but the choruses bring more of an attitude than they do a sing-a-long anthem. ‘We Run In Bare Feet’ is a big track, with big energy and should be a big hit.
